Resources and Services
Here at Allen East we value the importance of providing the most up to date technology tools for our students. We strive to provide access to these tools so that our students will be prepared to enter college and the workforce upon graduation.
Schoology, an online learning management system, was rolled out district-wide in 2015. Schoology prepares students for online evaluations, college, and career by allowing students to become more familiar with online learning and tools. More information about Schoology can be found here.
The 1:1 Chromebook program began during the 2016-17 school year with a Chromebook for every student in grades 7-12. Students in third through sixth grades have 1:1 classroom Chromebook carts, while our K-2 students also have laptop and iPad carts available.
Each classroom is equipped with a mounted LCD projector with a wall mounted screen that is connected to the teacher's computer for classroom instruction. Every classroom also has a phone, sound reinforcement system with microphones, and a VHS/DVD player. In addition, several of the classrooms are equipped with SMART Boards and document cameras.
