An OHSAA fall sports parent meeting will be at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 2 in the Auditeria. If you have a student playing a fall sport, you and your student should attend.
There will be a CPR Certification Class in the Auditeria at 6:00 p.m. on July 26. The cost is $20 and the public is welcome.
The Middle School Academic Awards will be held on May 31 in the auditeria beginning at 8:15 a.m. Parents are welcome to attend.

The Washington, D.C. trip information meeting for next year's trip (current 7th graders) will take place on Tuesday, May 8 at 5:30 p.m. in the Media Center. This is a change from the date and time in the packet you received.
The High School Art Show is on Friday, May 11 from 5:00-7:00 p.m.
The first annual Daddy Daughter Dance will be held on Friday, April 27 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. The event is for girls in third, fourth, and fifth grades and may be escorted by any father figure available. Please click here for the flyer and more information.
Only those high school students that are testing on Monday, April 16th should be in attendance. All other high school students do not need to be at school on that day.
The Allen East Moms and Dads Club's Reverse Raffle is Saturday, April 21. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. at the Allen County Fairgrouds. Tickets are $100 and include a meal. Additional meal tickets are $20. Click here for the flyer
The High School Yearbook Staff is hosting a movie night on Friday, April 13 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. The cost of $15 and includes dinner and a drink. Click here for the flyer.
Westminster Rural Fire Department and SADD will host an all you can eat pancake, egg, and sausage breakfast on Saturday, April 14 from 7:00-11:00 a.m. The cost is $7.00 for adults, $3.00 for children 6-11 years old, and free for children 5 and under. At 2:20 p.m. the fire alarm went off as a result of leaky duct work in the science room during an experiment. Students were evacuated and could not return until the fire department cleared the building for re-entry. Students were evacuated to auxiliary buildings during the event. The fire department allowed students to return at 2:50 p.m. after determining there was no danger to students.
The Board Meeting scheduled for Tuesday, March 20 has been rescheduled for Monday, March 26 at 7:00 p.m. It will be held in the Media Center.
Allen East will present "Into the Woods Jr." on Friday, April 6 and Saturday, April 7 at 7:00 p.m. both nights in the auditeria. Tickets are available in the High School office starting March 21 for $10. Tickets will also be available at the door. Click here for the flyer.
The Allen County Sheriff's Department has determined the social media threat against Allen East was a hoax. There is no threat to students and the person who posted the the threat was aprehended this morning.
There was a threatening social media post on Thursday, February 22, 2018 directed towards Allen East. The Allen County Sheriff's Department was immediately notified and has been working on tracing the message back to the original authors. The department has the names of the authors and are currently interviewing suspects. There is no immediate danger to the school or students. Deputies will be on site Friday as a reassuring measure to alleviate any fears.

Middle School and High School pictures will be on Tuesday, September 5. Seniors can get their headshots done at this time. Elementary students will have pictures taken on Wednesday, September 6.
Grades 6-12 will have parent/teacher conferences on Wednesday, October 18 from 5:30-8:00 p.m.
Kindergarten registration for the 2018-2019 school year will be on March 6, 7, 8 from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. each day. Click here for the required documents. Children must be five before October 1, 2018. Students who turn 5 between August 1 and September 30 will be admitted to the 2-year transitional kindergarten program. Prior to Chromebook pick-up, emergency medical forms are required to be completed. To expedite the process, the form should be completed before the pick-up date. Visit https://bit.ly/2Hewnp8 for the form. Students without a completed form will be unable to receive a Chromebook.
Note: Only students in grades 6-12 will pickup a Chromebook.
Allen East is required to test its water twice a month. In May 2018, Allen East only submitted one test. The water is fine, but the EPA requires that Allen East should notify the public that it missed one of the testing submissions.

Allen County Public Health will be holding a teen immunization clinic on August 29, 2018 from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. This clinic will be for those entering 7th through 12th grade only.
