Seniors can apply for the Burger King scholarship program. Applications can be picked up in the guidance office.
The Lima branch of the American Association of University Women have a scholarship for girls going to college in the fall. If chosen as a scholarship winner the student must volunteer 10 hours at the Lima Public Library during the annual book fair. Deadline is March 6, 2015
The Hauss-Helms Foundation has scholarships available for seniors residing in Allen and Auglaize counties. Seniors must be in the top half of the class.

The VFW Post 9381 in Ada, Ohio is offering a scholarship for senior students. Eligibiity requirement is that the seniors parents or grandparents are a regular member in good standing. Applications are available in the guidance office and the deadline is April 1. 2015
Seniors that reside in the Mid-Ohio Energy Coperative can apply for a scholarship.

The Ohio Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers have a James Kura Memorial Scholarship contest for seniors. Applications can be downloaded at www.oacdl.org/scholarship Deadline is March 10, 2015
Allen County Farm Bureau Scholarship applications can be picked up in the guidance office by seniors that are going to major in an agricultur-related program. Deadline is April 1, 2015
Safety Council Scholarship applications are available in the guidance office for seniors pursuing a career in Occupational Safety 7 health, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science, Risk Management, or Health & Wellness.

Wiliam D. Squires Schoarship is available for seniors that have a EFC of less than 8,000 on the FAFSA student aid report and have a 3.20 accumulative gpa

Students that are currentlyin grade 9-11 can apply for The Detectives of Defiance program. It is a 3 day camp that focuses on Criminal Justice, Forensic Science, and Digital Forensic Science at Defiance College. The price is $200 if apply before April 1st. Students that will be 9th graders in the fall can apply for Camp Med which is held at the University of Toledo on June18 & 19. The program is for students interested in the medical field. If interested stop in the guidance office for an application. Deadline is April 10.
Juniors and Seniors can sign up for a Veterninary Exploration Conference on February 21, 2015. The program costs $10 and is in Columbus at the Hyatt Regency. For more info and to register go to the following web address
Students who are least 14 years old can volunteer at St. Rita's hospital if they have a gpa over 3.0 and have completed 8th grade. Applications can be picked up in the guidance office. Deadline to apply is March 9, 2015
The International College of Broadcasting has a free workshop on Saturday January 21 for high school students. The workshop is in Dayton at starts at 9:30am. Seating is limited so call 937-258-8251 to RSVP
College Goal Sunday is February 8, 2015 at designated spots all over the state Ohio. The closest places to Allen East are Columbus Grove high school and the Lima/Allen Chamber of Commerce. You and your parents can talk to financail aid advisors from different colleges. If you bring your W'2 forms and tax information these professionals will help you complete the FAFSA form. Family Information Night about Rhodes State College will be held at Waynesfield White Memorial Library on October 23 at 6pm

Any senior that want to listen to the representative from GROB group in Bluffton can sign up in the guidance office. The meeeting is October 16
Any senior girl that wants to participate in the Daughters of the American Revolution Good Citizens program can stop in the guidance office for more details. Students are required to write an essay and attend a luncheon on November 15, 2014. They receive a pin and certificate at the awards ceremony. If chosen the best essay in Allen County, the chapter will forward to be considered for a $500 scholarship.
Distinguished Young Women program deadline is October 3, 2014
