Scholarships:
  
Elks Most Valuable Student contest.  Deadline is December 5, 2014.  Download an application at www.elks.org/enf/scholars

John F. Kennedy Profile in Courage Essay contest.  Students in grade 9-12 can partcipate for the chance to win $10,000 in scholarship money. Deadline is January 5, 2015     visit the contest website at jfklibrary.org

Download an application for the National CO-OP scholarship program at
www.waceinc.org       Students must be going to one of the eleven member schools which include in-state schools  Toledo & Cncinnati

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 
Opportunities:   
Any senior girl that wants to participate in the Daughters of the American Revolution Good Citizens program can stop in the guidance office for more details.  Students are required to write an essay and attend a luncheon on November 15, 2014. They receive a pin and certificate at the awards ceremony.  If chosen the best essay in Allen County, the chapter will forward to be considered for a $500 scholarship.

Distinguished Young Women program deadline is October 3, 2014
The program used to be called Junor Miss. It is for young women in the class of 2015. It is an opportunith to win cash and college scholarship money. Call Laura Szenas at 740-485-1423 or go on-line  ohio@distinguishedyw.org

 

Any sophomore or junior interested in taking the PSAT test on October 15 should stop in the guidance office for details.  The cost of the exam is $14 deadline to register and pay is October 3rd.
Free workshop at the International College of Broadcasting in Dayton, Ohio on September 27 at 8:30   for more details stop in the guidance office.


University of Findlay Science, Technology, and  Math hands on day.  September 26 beginning at 8:30   For more information or to register for the program go to        www.findlay.edu
 

ACT Prep at the Lima Public Library on Tuesday's beginning September 2nd and ending May 19     For more details stop in the guidance office.
