Resources and Services
Here at Allen East we value the importance of providing the most up to date technology tools for our students. We strive to provide access to these tools so that our students will be prepared to enter college and the workforce upon graduation.
Our state of the art K-12 facility is equipped with three 26+ station computer labs. The labs are used on a daily basis for classroom instruction and student research.
During the 2015-2016 school year, Schoology, an online learning management system, was rolled out district-wide. Schoology prepares students for online evaluations, college, and career by allowing students to become more familiar with online learning and tools.
This year, during the 2016-2017 school year, the 1:1 Chromebook program kicked off with a Chromebook for every student in grades 6-12. Students in third, fourth, and fifth grades have classroom laptop carts, while our K-2 students also have laptop and iPad carts available.
Each classroom is equipped with a mounted LCD projector with a wall mounted screen that is connected to the teacher's computer for classroom instruction. Every classroom also has a phone, sound reinforcement system with microphones, and a VHS/DVD player. In addition, several of the classrooms are equipped with Smartboards and document cameras.
